hi,
Having had ritx infusions and taking pred. to see me over the early period before the hopeful kick in, I now find that my gradual reduction in pred. dosage from 10 mg down to 7.5 mg last week has led to a new dilemma.
On Monday morning I am full of get up a go and ready for a hard days graft, the energy slowly gets sapped and by Wednesday I'm having difficulties, Thursday morning is a real struggle but at close of play I seem to get second wind, Friday is a breeze and then of course its the weekend, its probably due to a readjustment of my energy levels, initially wearing down and then becoming acclimatised, then the weekend recharges my batteries and the process starts again, either that or I'm allergic to Wednesdays.
The ritix definitely has made a change in my life so far, as I reduce the pred. I don't seem to get such an adverse reaction, I'm going to stay on 7.5 mg for a few weeks and then drop to 5 mg, ill see how that goes and hopefully after a few more weeks ill stop completely, probably timed to coincide with a weeks holiday.
Its definitely since the ritx. my confidence has increased, bar Wednesdays.
roll on the summer.

Hello Steve

I have been experiencing this kind of week as you decribe for many many months. I take Methotrexate on Monday nights so Tuesdays have not been my favourite day. At last the medecine has made a difference and now I feel much livier on Tuesdays. Looking back to the darker days I now realise that we are dealing with Medecine side effects of tiredness plus already feeling tired from having RA. This topic has not been shared for a while on the forum and so it is good to talk about it.

hi Steve,

sorry to hear you are having a mid week dip of energy,

but that's good news that you are feeling the benefits of Rituximab .. hopefully a holiday will help recharge your batteries,

i haven't been on steroids so have no experience of them.

Hi Steve,
Perhaps reduce the prednisolone a little more slowly, say from 10 to 9, I know we all are keen to get off them but sometimes the dip is just too much all at once,
Best wishes and hope Wednesdays improve.
